Wooden Spoon
- 2/3 cup Milk of choice
- 1/3 cup Coconut milk or additional milk of choice
- 3 tbsp Dutch cocoa powder or unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp Sweetener of choice
- 1/16 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pure vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp Peanut butter optional
Gather all your ingredients: milk, coconut milk, cocoa powder, sweetener, salt, vanilla extract, and optional peanut butter.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, coconut milk, cocoa powder, sweetener, and salt. Ensure there are no lumps from the cocoa powder.
Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and place it over medium heat. Stir constantly to prevent burning.
After a few minutes, you'll notice steam rising. This is your cue to increase the heat slightly.
If you prefer the microwave, pour the mixture into a microwave-safe mug and heat in 30-second increments.
Once it’s hot, remove it from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Mix in the optional peanut butter if desired for a nutty flavor.
Pour your Vegan Hot Chocolate into your favorite mug and enjoy!
