Chef's Knife
Skillet
- 4 slices bread (I used Jewish Rye Bread by Pepperidge Farms)
- 6 oz shredded Muenster cheese
- 2 tbsp pesto sauce
- 1 medium roasted pepper chopped
- 1 tbsp butter
Spread a thin layer of butter onto bread slices.
Flip the slices over and spread some pesto sauce on the other side.
Add cheese on one side of the bread, then chopped roasted peppers and a little more cheese on top.
Place the other slice of bread on top. Place the sandwich(es) in a large, non-stick skillet and fry for about 1-2 minutes on each side on medium heat until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
- Freezing: While it's best fresh, you can freeze the assembled sandwich before cooking. Make sure to separate layers with parchment paper.
- Pairing: Serve with a side of tomato soup or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
- Variations: Experiment with different types of cheese and bread for unique flavors!
