  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
  • 12 cups Smartfood Movie Theater Butter Popcorn
  • 1 1/2 cups red/white/blue candy coated chocolate pieces
  • red/white/blue sprinkles optional

  • Begin by melting the butter in a large pot over medium heat. You want it to melt gently, so keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
  • Once the butter is melted, add the marshmallows to the pot. Stir continuously until the mixture becomes smooth and free of lumps. This might take a few minutes, so be patient!
  • After the marshmallows are fully melted, carefully add the Smartfood Movie Theater Butter Popcorn. Stir well to coat each piece with the gooey mixture. The popcorn should be well covered and sticky.
  • Let the mixture cool slightly; you can transfer it to a large bowl to speed up the process. It’s important to allow it to cool because you’ll be mixing in the candy coated chocolate pieces soon.
  • Once cooled, gently fold in the red/white/blue candy coated chocolate pieces. Be careful not to crush the popcorn!
  • Prepare a bundt pan by spraying it generously with nonstick spray. This will help ensure your cake comes out easily later.
  • Transfer the popcorn mixture into the bundt pan, pressing it down evenly. You want to pack it tightly to form a solid cake.
  • Let the cake sit for about 10 minutes to firm up. This will make it easier to remove later.
