Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Flour plus 2 tablespoons
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon Mild Molasses
  • 1 cup Sugar plus 2 teaspoons
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks 1 ⅓ cups total
  • ¾ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Discs or chips
  • 12 ounces Butter room temperature
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Nielsen-Massey Vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the dark brown sugar, molasses, and sugar.
  • Using your stand mixer with the paddle attachment, cream the butter on medium-low speed until it is the consistency of mayonnaise.
  • Add in the sugar mixture and mix for about 3 minutes on medium speed, until fluffy.
  • Add in the eggs and mix on low speed for only 15 to 30 seconds.
  • Add in the dry ingredients in 2 additions, mixing on low speed for 15 to 30 seconds after each, until just combined.
  • Remove the bowl from the mixer and mix in the chocolate by hand.
  • Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 325º. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Using a large cookie scoop, scoop dough balls and place 4-5 on each baking sheet.
  • Bake for 18 to 20 minutes.
  • Cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet, then remove to a cooling rack.
