- 4 bags Passion Herbal Tea I used Tazo
- 32 ounces Cold water
- 1 cup Blackberries
- 1 cup Fresh orange juice
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Passion iced tea
- 1/2 cup Apple juice
- 1 ounce Berry orange syrup
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
- Blackberries for garnish
- Orange slices cut into quarters for garnish
Step 1: Cold Brew Method: Combine 4 bags of Passion Herbal Tea and 32 ounces of cold water in a pitcher and allow to steep in fridge for 6-8 hours or overnight.
Step 2: Traditional Method: Pour boiling water over tea bags and allow to steep for five minutes. Remove tea bags and allow tea to cool.
Step 3: Combine 1 cup of fresh orange juice, 1 cup of blackberries, and 1/2 cup of sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir often to make sure sugar fully dissolves. When sugar has dissolved, reduce heat to as low as it will go and allow to simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and strain to remove berries.
Step 4: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add 1/2 cup of Passion iced tea, 1/2 cup of apple juice, 1 ounce of blackberry syrup, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, a few blackberries and orange slices. Shake to combine, then pour everything (including ice) into a large glass and enjoy!
- Tip 1: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
- Tip 2: If you want to make this drink ahead of time, consider freezing the berry mixture in an ice cube tray.
- Tip 3: This iced tea goes wonderfully with light snacks like cheese platters, fresh fruit, or even grilled shrimp.
- Tip 4: Measurements can easily be adjusted to make more if desired.
- Tip 5: Feel free to swap in seasonal fruits for a unique twist.
